  • Ingredients

    • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1-inch thick)
    • 1/2 cup pesto
    • 1/2 cup fresh tomatoes (about 10 slices, halved)
    • 8 oz fresh mozzarella (5 slices cut in half – total 10 slices)
    • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
    • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    • Instructions

      Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
      • Using a sharp knife, make about 5 evenly spaced slits across each chicken breast without cutting all the way through.
      Step 2: Season
      • In a small bowl, combine pesto, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
      • Rub this mixture over the chicken and into each slit.
      Step 3: Stuff
      • Place a slice of mozzarella and a slice of tomato (cut to fit if necessary) into each slit.
      Step 4: Air Fry
      • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
      • Place chicken breasts in the basket and cook for 12–15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
      Step 5: Rest & Serve
      • Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy as is or with your favorite side dish.
