Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

📝
 Ingredients:

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls per can)
  • Optional: ¼ cup chopped green onions or chives

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Cook sausage:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and crumbled.
    • Drain excess fat.
  3. Make filling:
    • In a bowl, combine cooked sausage with cream cheese until fully mixed.
    • Stir in green onions if using.
  4. Assemble crescents:
    • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
    • Place a heaping spoonful of sausage-cream cheese mixture near the wide end of each triangle.
    • Roll up, starting from the wide end toward the point, tucking in sides as needed.
  5. Bake:
    • Place rolls on prepared baking sheet, point side down.
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm!

✅ Tips:

  • These freeze well — assemble and freeze unbaked crescents, then bake straight from frozen (add 3–4 minutes to bake time).
  • Make them bite-sized by cutting crescent triangles in half before filling.
